Alma Ruiz Velasco

As a travel agent with a unique background in astrophysics, I specialize in crafting unforgettable astronomy-inspired journeys. Born in Aguascalientes, Mexico, I earned my Ph.D. in astrophysics from the University of Guanajuato. My academic career took me around the world for conferences and research, including stints in Copenhagen, Denmark (for my Master's thesis) and Munich, Germany (for my Ph.D. work). Later, at Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, Arizona, I discovered a passion for dark skies and public outreach, prompting a shift from research to education and tour guiding. In 2020, I returned to Mexico to create astronomy guides and calendars. By December 2025, I took a leap of faith to become a full-time travel agent, blending my expertise in astronomy and global exploration to help clients experience life-changing wonders—like total solar eclipses or stargazing under pristine Milky Way skies. With confidence, and God´s favor, I'll curate the ideal trip tailored to your dreams.
